 TXST vs. NAU Soccer
Bobcats lose 0-2 in first match of season. They did win exhibition against UTSA last week 2-0.

 Re: TXST vs. NAU Soccer
Saw on twitter that we were "outmanned" size-wise.

Yes, all the NAU girls seemed taller, they had the advantage in headers.

 Re: TXST vs. NAU Soccer
Cue the excuses for another sub-par season in Soccer. Some will say "but the coach has a winning record over her career at Texas State." Well, that's true but there's also the fact that the soccer team has had the most consistently soft schedule strength of all sports programs at Texas State for at least the last fifteen years.
Per mratings.com, the Texas State soccer team is currently ranked #263 out of 332 Division I programs. Also, since 2002 the team has finished the season ranked in the top half of Division I THREE TIMES...and in those instances the team ranked within a few spots of exact half, in other words...the bottom of the second quartile. This means that even in the programs BEST SEASONS the squad was actually just *slightly* better than mediocre. In the other twelve seasons that I looked at, the team was either in lower half of the THIRD quartile or firmly in the FOURTH quartile. Remember, this is a ranking of the entire NCAA Division I...332 soccer playing schools, and we are consistently near the bottom of this list. All of this "winning" has occurred with a schedule strength that has never topped #200.
This is not the mark of a successful sports program. This is mediocrity.
Maybe it's because they all "outmanned" us.
Here's a thought. Maybe the coach is, and always has been, "outmanned".

 Re: TXST vs. NAU Soccer
When you cannot even make the conference tourney, given the resources available at TXST, that should be a red flag new leadership could be needed.
